The year 2019 was a tough one for actress Mona Monyane, 30, as she and partner Khulu Skenjana after they watched their home burn to the ground in a raging fire.
Two years into trying to recover from the loss of their daughter Amani who died just seven days after she was born in 2017, they thought things couldn’t get any worse. But they did and they lost their home and their late daughter’s ashes in the fire.
“We watched our home burn down and all we could think was thank God we all made it out alive. The devil may test you but God is greater than any darkness,” she shared on social media.
But this year things have taken a turn and Mona has moved into a new, beautiful home.
The former Muvhango actress took to social media to share the good news with her followers.
“Look at God,” she wrote.
“October 2019 showed me literal flames, but God had other plans. Remember always my beloveds that God will never forsake you.”
She also posted her new kitchen with grey countertops.
“New Kitchen, New Home, New Life. Getting to practice my interior design skills in the rebuilding of my home felt like God saying… not only will the phoenix rise but she will rise. P.S. Please get home insurance and cover your household items as well. Life happens and you don’t want to be left paying out of your pocket.”
