Cocktail connoisseurs were treated to a special cocktail masterclass at Mesh cocktail bar on Tuesday, 22nd January, hosted by South African media darling and CourvoisierLumiere, Bonang Matheba, Courvoisier Brand Ambassador Cuthbert Ndlovu and mixologist, Devin Cross.
The top of the itinerary saw the invited guests – including Queen B’s friends PinkyGirl, Babalwa Mneno, Sefiso Hlongwane, Ryan Hignett, Jay Badza and Seo Mothibe – take a tour of Courvoisier’s flavours with an exclusive tasting of the VS, VSOP and XO blends. Following the tasting, the evening’s main event – a cocktail masterclass – showed guests the art of creating Bonang’s signature cocktail, the Fleur De Courvoisier, and how to make their own versions by adding personal touches to the soon-to-be-classic cocktail.
Entertainment on the night was handled by DJ Shludu de Guru who had previously lent his talents to fellow Lumiere, Anatii’s 26th birthday celebrations.
“When we get the chance to show off our brand’s heritage alongside an icon like Bonang, it’s an opportunity we relish. It’s important to convey the history and the luxury of the brand to our customers, and to do it in such fun and engaging environment is all we could ask for,” says Courvoisier Brand Ambassador Cuthbert Ndlovu.
“The journey with Courvoisier up until this point has been a dream come true. From the cocktails, to the places we’ve been and the people who have become like family, to becoming part of Courvoisier history has been a cherished experience like no other,” says Bonang.
