Fitness fanatic Sbahle Mpisane admits that she lied about forgetting her ex-boyfriend and footballer Itumeleng Khune after her accident in 2018.
In a live Instagram video, the daughter of mogul Shauwn Mkhize confessed to lying about amnesia being the reason behind her break-up with Itumeleng Khune in 2018 after dating him for three years and after numerous visits.
After getting out of ICU and recovering from the accident which almost took her life, Sbahle made people believe that her relationship with Khune ended because she could not remember who he was. This was months after her tragic car accident.
“After the accident, I didn’t try to fix anything with Khune.”
She says she had to lie in order to get people off her back regarding her relationship with Khune after people kept on asking her about the relationship instead of her wellbeing hence the sprawl. A few months after being discharged from hospital, Sbahle and Khune called off their relationship it quits. And Khune moved on.
“I only said that, because you wanted answers. I was going through a very fragile state, and I felt like that [relationship] was not something to focus on,” she says.
“Obviously I do remember him. I spoke to him every day whilst in hospital. He would come to visit me a lot. We were cool. In response to people saying: ‘She remembers everything, but she doesn’t remember Khune’… I was just fooling you”.
She went on to say that she and Khune parted ways amicably. “We spoke and broke up. Nothing bitter,” she says.
“So in relation to people saying, ‘she remembers everything, but she doesn’t remember Khune’, I was just fooling y’all.”
In a recent interview with vlogger Owamie on 20 May, Sbahle still insisted she did not fully remember Khune.
“To be honest, I don’t remember that part. All I remember is , we used to speak every day, not for long. He would call me a lot in one day. Yes, he is my ex. I am appreciative of the time he gave me. I was told he was my boyfriend, the person I loved. I did have moments to try and figure out what I loved about him. As much as I loved talking to him, I wouldn’t fully understand everything.”
In the interview, Sbahle said that she and Khune broke up because he did not make time for her after being discharged form hospital.
“When we broke up and I was happy and relieved. He was a good person in my time in hospital. I broke up because he couldn’t give me his time and I wanted his time. I also knew the girl he was busy with, it was the wife. Either way I’m not hating.”
Sbahle also went to says that Khune was not always faithful “Even before the wife he always heated.
