Producer, DJ and sonic architect Dr Moruti is turning some of life’s most difficult moments into a soundtrack of hope with his deeply personal new album, We Will Dance, due for release on 28 August 2026 via gamma.

The album captures a period of reflection and resilience for Dr Moruti as he navigates personal challenges while holding on to faith and hope for a better future for himself and his family.

Rather than allowing difficult seasons to define him, the award-winning musician uses music as a way to transform adversity into something uplifting and meaningful.

“At the heart of the album is a message of hope, positivity, faith, and freedom from negativity. I use music as a way to transform life’s challenges into something meaningful and uplifting, while sharing the talent and creativity I believe God has placed within me. We Will Dance is a reminder that even in difficult seasons, we still have a reason to celebrate, to believe and to keep going,” says Dr Moruti.

From struggle to celebration

The album follows the release of Left Behind, its lead single, which arrived last week and introduced listeners to the emotional landscape of the project.

Through its themes of reflection, perseverance and overcoming adversity, the single sets the tone for an album that is ultimately about choosing hope even when circumstances are difficult.

Across We Will Dance, Dr Moruti explores Afro House, electronic music, Afro Tech, soulful dance and indigenous South African rhythms. The sounds shift across different moods and emotions, but remain connected by the album’s central message of hope.

For Dr Moruti, however, dance represents more than music or movement. It becomes a symbol of freedom, celebration and perseverance – a conscious decision to embrace positive energy and find moments of joy regardless of what life brings.
