Amapiano artist and serial entrepreneur Dudu “Lady Du” Ngwenya has found love again, in the hands of Afro House DJ Kashief, formerly known as DJ Hectic.
Kakhief, who has been in the music business for almost 10 years, doubles up as her road manager and performance DJ
According to a close friend, Lady Du and Kashief have been dating for more than a year and cohabiting.
“They live together, and they work together. He is a quiet guy, a very great person. With her bold personality – I guess they are a balance.”
DJ Kashief recently celebrated his birthday – and the Dakiwe hitmaker surprised him with gifts and a white calendar cake.
Lady Du previously dated Isibaya actor Andile Mxakaza, with whom she was engaged before they split. They released a joint statement announcing their split.
“I am not one for gossip; it bores me. This is from my heart. We did not break up; we followed our hearts, and that meant separating before things went south. I’ve had numerous attacks from people I didn’t even know, people making me uncomfortable because of my culture, people attacking my character, and scratching my car. So I decided it’s best I follow my heart and leave my relationship,” Lady Du said.
She went on to explain that the relationship ended in 2021, adding that she and Andile wanted different things.
“So we are both happy with the decision, and we ask that you kindly respect it. It hasn’t affected any of us. Let it not affect you or make you sad,” she added.
Andile slammed and blamed people for meddling in his relationship and blamed witchcraft.
“Love is love; people break up if there are problems. There are people who are busy abusing another child. They have been abusing her for a long time, and I am also getting tired. Women practice witchcraft, and I don’t want to name-drop. I know the person who is doing this, and they keep on doing it, and I am warning them to stop doing it,” he said.
“You are attacking her because she is in love with me, and there were times where we couldn’t sleep, busy praying for her because she couldn’t see, she got injured, and she can’t do her shoots because of witchcraft.”
