The Gauteng Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation’s Provincial Investigation Unit has, during a Crime Intelligence led take down operation, arrested another suspect in connection with the murder of DJ Warras.
The suspect, a Mozambican national, was arrested in Marathon informal settlement in Primrose around 20:00 on 30 January 2026. The operation was conducted by PIU, together with Crime Intelligence and Ekurhuleni Metro Police.
The suspect will appear before court on Monday, 2 February 2026 facing charges of murder and contravention of the Immigration Act.
The first suspect to be arrested on the matter, Victor Mthethowakhe Majola’s bail was denied on 26 January 2026 and he is due in court on 11 February 2026.
