The Groblersdal Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit request urgent assistance from the members of the community to assist in re-arresting a 61-year-old male accused, Themba Patrick Mbokane popularly known as “Stlhano”.
The accused raped a 16-year-old female victim at Dennilton policing area on 27 December 2016 and was later nabbed on 01 January 2017. He made numerous court appearances until he was later granted bail.

On 16 May 2018, Patrick was found guilty by the Groblersdal Regional court and sentenced to 15 years direct imprisonment.
Afterwards, the accused lodged an appeal and was also granted bail pending the finalisation of his appeal. The appeal was unsuccessful and a warrant for his arrest was issued in 2023 and has since been on the run until to date.

A manhunt for his apprehension has been intensified and police request anyone with information that can assist regarding his whereabouts to urgently contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Pebetse Maile on 073 124 8821 or Crime Stop number 086000 10111 or nearest police station or MYSAPS App.
