South African businessman and entrepreneur Musa Shibambu celebrated another trip around the sun with a private weekend-long birthday celebration attended by close family members and friends, with his partner, businesswoman Johanna Makgalemele (formerly Mukoki), stealing the spotlight as one of the standout guests at the festivities.
According to a friend who attended the celebration, the couple hosted a glamorous black-tie gathering , hosted by comedian Celeste Ntuli, and brought together their inner circle for a weekend of festivities celebrating Shibambu’s milestone. In attendance were close business associates, political A-listers and family.
“Johanna was the life of the party. She is happy, healthy, wealthy and living. It was beautiful to see them surrounded by people who genuinely care about them,” the friend said.

Shibambu has built a reputation as an entrepreneur and businessman with interests spanning several industries, earning recognition in South African business circles for his investment and entrepreneurial ventures. While he generally keeps a low public profile, he has occasionally found himself in the spotlight through both his business activities and his personal life.
His partner, Johanna Makgalemele, is an accomplished businesswoman in her own right and a respected figure in corporate South Africa. She is the sister of former Miss South Africa, television personality and entrepreneur Basetsana Khumalo, and has established her own career in business over the years.
Johanna was previously married to businessman Alan Mukoki, the long-serving chief executive officer of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI). Following their divorce, she has largely kept her personal life out of the public eye while continuing to focus on her business interests and philanthropic work.

Those who attended the birthday celebration described the couple as relaxed and happy, with guests enjoying a weekend filled with music, fine dining and heartfelt tributes to Shibambu.
The gathering also reflected the couple’s preference for celebrating life’s milestones away from the glare of the public eye, despite their prominence in business and social circles.
Friends say the pair have found happiness together and continue to support one another’s personal and professional ambitions, with Johanna embracing a new chapter in her life.
“She’s in a really good space. She’s happy, healthy, wealthy and living her best life,” the friend added.
The birthday celebration capped off a memorable weekend for the couple, surrounded by loved ones who gathered to toast Shibambu and celebrate a partnership that has quietly become one of the country’s notable business-world relationships.
