Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu’s production (PAP)company is said to be facing a massive bill from the South African Revenue Service (SARS)
PAP (Parents Advisory Productions), originally co-owned by South African TV personalities and producers Lungile Radu, Thomas Gumede, Siyabonga Ngwekazi, and Thomas Mhlongo, was registered in 2011.
The last two standing business partners, Radu and Gumede, after parting ways with Ngwekazi and Mhlongo.
PAP is known for producing reality shows, commercials, and notable in-house productions such as the reality series Nikiwe, Forever Young, MoLove, and Single Parents Looking For Love.
As of late 2023, the company was reported to be under pressure regarding unpaid company income tax and unpaid Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions, PAYE, and staff payments.
In a recent report by Daily Sun, the bank has applied for a court order to auction its company’s R20 million property. They reportedly owe SARS R17 million in taxes.
PAP is said to have received a R2.7 million business loan in 2023. They also took an additional loan of R687 000, which they promised to pay R62 000 a month. However, they remain in heavy debt and arrears.
