Thabo Mabilane Dibakoane (45) appeared in the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court today, Thursday 18 December 2025, for murder that occurred around the Bushbuckridge area.
He was arrested on 16 December 2025, at Alverton Village, following a tip-off from residents. The arrest was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Tubatse SAPS Detective Services and the Bushbuckridge SAPS.
The investigation revealed that Dibakoane allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife in Shatale, near Bushbuckridge, resulting in the victim’s death. A murder case was registered in September 2025, and Dibakoane had been evading the authorities since then.
He has been remanded back to custody and will reappear in Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s on 23 December 2025 for further proceedings.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi, has commended the police and for their collaborative efforts in bringing the suspect to justice.
