The Royalty Soapie Awards, South Africa’s premier celebration of television excellence, has officially opened submissions for its 8th edition.
The ceremony will take place in March 2026 in Johannesburg and will once again spotlight the talent, storytelling brilliance, and cultural impact of the nation’s most influential television genre: daily dramas and telenovelas.
South African soapies reach more than 25 million viewers every day, shaping identities, shifting conversations, and reflecting the heartbeat of the nation. Now, the industry’s finest are invited to compete for top honours across 28 award categories, celebrating artistic performance, creative direction, technical mastery, innovation, and societal resonance.
Producers, broadcasters, and production companies whose shows aired between 1 January and 31 December 2025 are officially invited to submit entries across all categories.
