The bail application for suspects Brian Booysen (34) and Wanay Farao (23) has been postponed to 9 May 2025 to allow them time to obtain legal representation. The two are suspected to have a hand in the Wynberg Court shooting that happened on 8 April killing taxi boss Dilangalomoya Chintso. It’s believed that Chintso was killed as a gang retaliation.

The State will oppose the Schedule 6 bail application on 6 May. In court, it was revealed that Booysen and Farao were linked to the gang, JFKs. ccAfter the shooting, they allegedly worked together to dispose of the firearms, which have not yet been recovered.
Booysen and Farao will next appear in court on the same day as one of the alleged shooters, Abubaker Adams. It is expected that more charges and additional accused may be added to the docket as the investigation continues.
