In partnership with Innate Reflexions, No Limit Concepts, and Mokopane FM to help empower youth, renowned South African actor Kgopotso Seth Chawane is launching The Ultimate Acting Masterclasses — a transformative initiative designed to equip aspiring actors with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in the competitive world of film and television.
Kgopotso has carved out an impressive career in South Africa’s entertainment industry, portraying over 20 diverse roles across television and film. His professional credits include appearances on Generations: The Legacy (as Zwelakhe), Skeem Saam, DiepCity, Giyani: Land of Blood, The Estate, Ama Dredlocks (Mzansi Magic), and many others. He is currently featured in two of the country’s most-watched shows — Muvhango (SABC 2) and Smoke & Mirrors (eTV).

Now based in Gauteng, the hub of the South African entertainment industry, Kgopotso has also been running professional acting masterclasses at the South African State Theatre for the past year. Through his experience working with a wide range of emerging talent, he has identified a pressing need to provide access and opportunity to young creatives in under-resourced areas.
His return to Mokopane is driven by a deep sense of purpose — to invest in the raw, undiscovered talent of his hometown and provide a platform for aspiring actors to sharpen their craft, gain exposure, and grow into future professionals.
“I’ve seen the brilliance and potential that exists in Mokopane,” he says. “There’s a hunger, a fire — all that’s missing is the platform. That’s why I’m bringing the skills and industry insight I’ve gained back home.”
Running monthly from May to October 2025, The Ultimate Acting Masterclasses will be held at The Word Ministry Church in Moshate, Mokopane, on the last Saturday of each month. Open to individuals aged 10 and above, the program delivers accessible, practical training across a variety of performance disciplines.
Participants will receive: Hands-on coaching in acting for stage and screen. Script analysis, character development, and audition technique. Industry insight, personal branding, and career preparation. Free online acting classes twice a week for continued growth. A final live performance showcase to present their work.
With academic qualifications in Law and Journalism, Kgopotso brings a rare mix of talent, intellect, and strategic perspective to his work. His approach ensures that students gain not only performance ability, but also the mindset and professionalism needed to build sustainable careers in the arts. “Parents, we urge you to support your children’s dreams,” Kgopotso says. “The arts are not just hobbies — they are careers that require structure, discipline, and training.”
The initiative is also appealing to businesses, philanthropists, and industry players to support or sponsor the program, enabling disadvantaged youth to benefit from this unique opportunity.
“Corporate support has the power to shape dreams into careers,” he adds. “Together, we can uplift communities and cultivate future leaders in the creative space.”
