His fans and listeners on the Afternoon Drive Time Show on Lesedi FM have missed his voice on air. He has not been broadcasting for over a month. Award winning radio presenter,Nyakallo Leine best known as “Ba2Cada” is said to have been suspended for not pitching for work for two days during the festive season.
Ba2Cada hosts the Afternoon Drive Time Show and his absence has been felt by his listeners who have started complaining on social media and making enquiries with the station. An insider revealed that he got into trouble after missing the 30 and 31 December broadcasts which he did remotely. “The co-host did the show alone,” the source says. He was then off work on leave until 20 January. “Management told him to continue staying at home. They are investigating his disappearance.”
The presenter has since not returned to the station and refused to speak about the matter when asked by Buzz Life News. “You can call management at the SABC.” SABC Radio Head of Communication, Mmoni Ngubane said in a statement that Ba2Cada is still employed by Lesedi FM. “Lesedi FM management can confirm that Mr. Nyakallo Leine is contracted by Lesedi FM and as such he has an employment relationship with the station. In this regard, we will not discuss employer/employee-related matters in the public space”.
