True to its reputation of delivering gripping storytelling, Uzalo announced the arrival of two powerhouse characters set to shake things up in KwaMashu: The multi-talented radio personality Selbeyonce, portrayed herself, and Noma-Russia Mkabile, played by the formidable Zukisa Matola.
LIFE IMITATES ART: SELBEYONCE JOINS UZALO AS SELBYONCE
A familiar voice with an unmatched flair for entertainment, Selbeyonce transitions seamlessly from radio to screen, bringing his dynamic energy to KwaMashu as Selbyonce, a decorated guest host at K-Mash FM. Known for his wit and charisma, Selbyonce is set to add a fresh and engaging dynamic to the airwaves of KwaMashu. Fans can expect a vibrant and larger-than-life personality who will leave an unforgettable mark. Selbeyonce makes his on-screen debut on 6 February 2025.

ENTER NOMA-RUSSIA MKABILE: A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH
Uzalo proudly welcomes veteran actress Zukisa Matola, who steps into the role of Noma-Russia Mkabile, a feisty, flamboyant, and fearless hustler whose presence will demand attention. A seasoned taxi owner, Noma-Russia is a woman who always gets what she wants—no matter the cost. With her sights set on Prince, her pursuit is relentless, and her obsession dangerous. The audience will be drawn into a thrilling game of power, manipulation, and control as she stops at nothing to get what (and who) she desires. Noma-Russia makes her on-screen debut on 15 February 2025.

As Uzalo’s milestone season nears its explosive conclusion, the introduction of these compelling new characters is just a glimpse of the drama yet to unfold.
