Gospel singer, Fikile Mlomo has been in hospital for more than two months after battling to walk. She celebrated her 42nd birthday in a hospital bed, with doctors checking her condition. The singer has since confirmed she will be getting spinal surgery. She is also raising R50 000 to cover costs.

After several tests, Fikile has been diagnosed with a spinal tumour. “It is scary,” she tells Buzz Life News. “But I believe in God, that he will never forsake me.”

She hopes that after the surgery she will continue making music and recover. “I hope this surgery will get me back on my feet again and I will be able to walk. My gift is music, I want to continue praising God after my surgery.” Fikile says, she will need funds for the surgery, and she will be assisted by gospel singer and pastor Thinah Zungu. “He has been very supportive during this time, and he has offered to help me raise funds for my hospital bills and recovery.”
