He passed away just when his music career was picking up. Rapper Tumi Tladi’s family announced his passing on Sunday and are yet to confirm the details surrounding his death.

Friends and family gathered at the Rivers Church in Sandton, Johannesburg, for his memorial service. 

Tumi’s manager Siyanda Ntshanga shared how the Presidential rapper was set to sign with Def Jam Africa before he passed. Ntshanga confirmed that despite his death, his new music will still be released.

“Thank you to everybody who has ever done a single thing for the broer. He was signing with Def Jam this week, there was a world tour,” Ntshanga said.

“Broer had it, all he wanted to do was share his music with you guys. I told him he’s going to trend, but not like this.”

A video showcasing Tumi’s life was shared. Hip Hop businessman Slikour spoke about Tumi’s contribution to the entertainment industry.

“There’s no question that Tumi’s life was dedicated to creating, movement and broadcasting it,” he said.
