She has been through it all! Divorce, depression and losing a child. Actress Mona Monyane has gotten a second chance at happiness and speaks openly about her journey to healing. Adding to the joy, the actress is getting ready to walk down the aisle again.
In a series of social media posts, Mona expressed how happy she is in her new relationship and showed off her engagement ring.
“It’s how down to earth and chilled he is, for me,” she wrote.
“Nna ke drama story chozz. I am an entire movie cinema and this King right here is my table mountain. He is my peace, comfort and stability. When I feel like everything is going crazy, he is that stillness that reminds me that I serve a loving and living God.”
Mona says, expressed her happiness.
“Chomi to be in a relationship where you truly feel like a person genuinely loves you for you.”
She went on to say how tough it is to find love in the acting industry.
“My industry is some of the most ghetto, pretentious, weird nonsense that you will EVER encounter,” she says
“I am a Taurus. Stubborn is my portion. Not only on social media but in my real life. I don’t do “trying to look good for others” what what.”
Mona says, after her divorce with actor Khulu Skenjana, she suffered trying to date.
“I have had to suffer for my standards. Chomi, mjolo is the most ghetto thing I have had to experience after marriage,” she says.
“There are people out here who shamelessly lie and use you for their own benefit. Aowa lona hle. I tried dating and I really made peace with the fact that it is not for me. I wept and told God to bring me a man who is equal to my heart. I have to sing my praises, I have to share my testimony, I must glorify my ALMIGHTY savior.”
Mona says her new man prays and is spiritual.
“What’s most wild is that, I AM truly speaking my truth. This man prays chomi, this is a union like none I’ve known. Mr A knows and loves God and that’s why he knows and loves me, truly. My ancestors and God don’t want with me, I really am so grateful that I was brave enough to lean in and embrace my spirituality.”
