She is a vocal powehouse and sings the catchy theme song on Netflic drama series Blood & Water.
An incredible win for Zimbabwean-born singer Frya.


She has five of her songs are featured on Season 2 of the Netflix’s second African original hit series Blood & Water, four of which are from her debut album ‘Balance’ due for release next month.

All alongside the series theme song creation she collaborated on with renowned producer MrKamera.

This is a monumental feature for a new artist who is yet to release a full body of work and a true testament to Frya’s star power and talent.

The Johannesburg based artist is delighted toshare a piece of herself with the world. Blood & Water Season 2 premiered on Friday 24thSeptember on Netflix.
The four songs Chandelier, Back it Up, Calculate and Changes are part of her much anticipated forthcoming debut album, Balance, which is currently up for pre-order and set for full release on the 22nd October 2021.


”I feel extremely blessed about the Blood & Water placements and having had the opportunity todo the soundtrack which is a key piece of the show’s identity. To have a huge machine like Netflix and the Blood & Water production team believe in my sound and vision by placing nearly half of my debut album in this incredible show with amazing African talent, it is so surreal. I am still at the beginning of my career, such milestones make the journey that much more amazing,” Fyra says.

Her vocal prowess, relatable yet powerful writing skills and her versatile sonic embodiment makes Frya an artist to watch from the continent. Her sound is unique and fresh, inspired by her exposure to different parts of the world, having lived abroad.
