Singer Phelo Bala releases Nanini, dedicated to lovers.
The much-anticipated release of Nanini came after he reunited with estranged husband Moshe Ndiki.
Phelo says also releasing this love song during a pandemic is his contribution to giving people hope.
“Some people lost their partners, family members and friends during this pandemic and people just need the affirmation of love and appreciation now more than ever,” he tells Buzz Life News.
In this ballade, he features Tsepang Diphapang, who wrote the song and is also due to release his new Afro-pop project as well as upcoming vocalist GFYO.
Nanini tells a story of the love that withstand the test of time.
“It’s about a bond that remains strong despite any challenges.”
Phelo says the idea resonates with his own love story with his husband, Moshe.
“I understand what true love. I know what sits like to have a love that withstand even the roughest of storms,” he says.
“And this is our contribution to just spreading love and good vibes.”
Like Phelo, both artists featured in the single hail from the Eastern Cape province and through this project they, wish to embody unity.
“It’s all about collaboration and showing each other kindness and love,” says Phelo.
