Mzansi celebrities are slowly sharing their COVID-19 status; TT Mba shared his journey to recovery, AKA showed his home remedies, Lerato Zah Moloi spoke up, Khaya Dladla, Zwelinzima Vavi, and many others came forth to talk about how they beat the virus.
Recently, Singer and mom of two Simphiwe Dana,40, shared how she beat the virus but has been reluctant to speak up about it.
“So, I didn’t speak about it because I don’t like drama please,” she wrote on social media.
“But we had corona in this house. All of us. But it was so mild guys. Milder than flu even, for me,” added.
The Bamako singer says she is in disbelief about the number of deaths due to COVID_19.
“I can’t believe that people are dying from it. My heart bleeds for the family members left to pick up the pieces,” she said.
“Imagine I could have died. Me, a breadwinner! The strongest symptom was the loss of a sense of smell. It’s now slowly coming back. My biggest fear was it getting to my lungs because I have a very weak chest. So I focused on rinsing my nasal passages. It may be that this is what saved me.”
She went on to say that she heard that it can affect your brain too. “Your liver, your heart, your kidneys,” she wrote.
“I’m grateful to my ancestors. I’m just grateful. Also, my mom has beaten it as well. Stay safe guys. This virus is real. And it may take your life.”
