Entertainer and sangoma Zodwa Wabantu (42) is officially off the market after her new partner, Bongani Masina (34), proposed to her recently.
The two have been happily dating for a year and seven months. Zodwa says Bongani went down on one knee with flowers and asked for her hand in marriage. Zodwa says she will never stop believing in love – no matter how many times she may get hurt. “If one relationship doesn’t work out, you try again. I will never give up, and I will never be with an older man.”
Zodwa previously dated sangoma Ntobeko Linda, who left her heartbroken after she learned he had allegedly cheated. Then she dated Vusi Buthelezi, with whom she separated with and he quickly moved on to be engaged. A few months later, she dated Ricardo Mpudi, whom she has also separated from. But a lover, Zodwa said she will not give up until she finds the one, which she did.
She had recently taken time off social media and from the public eye after a mugging incident where she lost her phone. “I just needed to reconnect with myself and just find myself,” she said. “The whole thing realised that I needed a break – but I am back.”
