Seasoned TX Galaxy coach Bernard Parker has been scammed. This is after cyber criminals hacked his cellphone number and claimed he was abroad. The hackers attempted to dupe some of his close friends into sending them money as he had “issues overseas.”

The hacker attempted to get money from unknowing contacts on his cellphone contact list. The friend called the hacker wanting banking details and he asked that he use the ‘e-wallet’ system of sending funds. Parker’s management, Charley Pietersen said, this is when things became suspicious. “I could tell by the way the person spoke it was not him,” the manager said. “I picked up that I was speaking to someone else.” He then contacted the former Kaizer Chiefs player on another number and he knew nothing about the funds. The matter has since been resolved with his network provider.
