He is fast making his moves in the entertainment industry with his smash hit single titled Mbuzeni , a song about Love released through Tammy Music Publisher.
Mbulelo Qala (29) has performed on big stages such as the Macufe festival hosted in Bloemfontein and the Joy of Jazz stages hosted in his home town Cosmo city.
He was first introduced to music in church.
Although music wasn’t even a considered career back the, the musical bug which was now in its fresh stages opened his eyes to a whole new world.
Mbulelo has fond memories of how his career began in 2009.
“I remember one particular Sunday I come from church and while I was on my way back home I saw some gents playing at the local car wash,” he says.
“Although I was walking home my heart and soul remained with the guys at the carwash,  and there I decided that I would drop off my church jacket at home and go back to the car wash. As soon as I got back to the busking guys I asked if I could grab the microphone and sing. As the guys played I sang,” he adds.
Alhough the journey hasn’t been a smooth sail and Mbulelo has had his fair share of ups and down by making bad business deals, he has leaned to stand on his own.
“I signed a sour deal with two other guys forming a three man band called The Guage some years ago,” he says.
This deal kept Mbulelo hostage preventing him from working with any artist nor making extra coins through singing backing vocals for other artist – as the days progressed the poorer and depressed Mbulelo got.

“I managed to finally get myself out that contract and was booked for my first show, my fan based started growing and the bookings kept trickling in,” he adds.
