SABC2 and Bakwena Productions announce the partnership involving the telenovela Pimville, and AVBOB which is set to deliver one of the most emotionally gripping television moments as viewers prepare to bid farewell to Kenneth played by Thapelo Mokoena.
Kenneth is a beloved character whose journey has resonated deeply with South African audiences, and this unprecedented collaboration will create a culturally rich, dignified, and authentically South African send-off.
Kenneth’s funeral episode, shot with the precision of a feature film, honours township tradition while highlighting the emotional realities families face during loss. The collaboration showcases the synergy between a national brand rooted in compassion and a heritage township institution.
