Award-winning singer-songwriter Bongeziwe Mabandla, in collaboration with his team at Black Major has announced the Solo Tour, beginning on 16 October 2025 in Durban and spanning multiple cities nationwide.
Offering a rare opportunity for Bongeziwe to connect closely with fans in small, intimate settings where the tour will also see the artist preview new music.
The Solo Tour – has struck a chord with audiences eager to experience Bongeziwe’s music in its most personal form; as it continues to sell out ahead of his appearance in major cities. Following the success of his amaXesha South African tour and several sold-out shows throughout Europe, Bongeziwe now returns home with intimate performances – giving fans a first taste of what’s to come in his next musical chapter.
Beginning in Durban at Hue Café and the tour continues through Gqeberha, Makhanda, East London, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Stellenbosch, Muizenberg, and Cape Town, before concluding with a special fundraiser performance in London at Fabric for Bridges For Music. Tickets for the remaining shows are still available via bongeziwe.com.
Fans can expect a series of evenings filled with closeness and connectivity. Each performance allows Bongeziwe to share stories behind his songs, engage with audiences on a personal level, and showcase what to expect from his upcoming releases. Alongside these previews, beloved tracks from albums such as Umlilo, Mangaliso, iiMini, and amaXesha will be reimagined in stripped-back, intimate arrangements.
“This tour is my way of slowing down, listening deeply, and meeting my people. I’ve spent years traveling, performing at many venues, and now I want to walk into rooms with fans, share new music, hear from you – and feel the spirit of our connection. I can’t wait to see you all across South Africa,” said Bongeziwe Mabandla on his upcoming tour.
With most shows already sold out, the Solo Tour promises to be one of Bongeziwe’s most meaningful tours yet – an exclusive opportunity for fans to witness and connect with his timeless and evolving sound.
