BET Africa (DStv channel 129) is proud to announce the highly anticipated second season of Nadia: Beyond Bragga, premiering on 06 September at 19h00. Repeats will air Tuesdays on MTV Base (DStv channel 322) at 17h30.

Season two of the 10-part reality series picks up where the first left off, with Nadia Nakai determined to bring her long-envisioned one-woman show to life. This time, she’s rewriting the rules—teaming up with fellow female powerhouses Moozlie and Ney the Bae to create something bold, collaborative, and deeply personal.

At the heart of this season is the theme of becoming. Nadia and her circle—Phindi, Tshego, and Bobby—are navigating the complexities of identity, ambition, and emotional growth. Through their shared and individual journeys, the show explores what it means to evolve in the public eye, making space for vulnerability, confrontation, and transformation.

This season marks a turning point for Nadia as she steps away from the club circuit and sets her sights on becoming an international festival artist. With the launch of her new album Braggacy on the horizon, Nadia’s story is one of reinvention—balancing music, business, and image while embracing the emotional weight of love, grief, and self-discovery.

Beyond Bragga is a bold celebration of resilience, reinvention, and the power of purpose-driven storytelling,” says Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Paramount Africa and Lead, BET International. “At BET Africa, we are committed to amplifying voices that inspire and reflect the richness of our culture. Nadia’s journey is not just entertainment—it’s a testament to the strength, vulnerability, and brilliance of African creatives who are shaping the global narrative on their own terms.”

Nadiasays, “Beyond Bragga also dives deep into the grit behind the glamour—showing fans the strategy, setbacks, and soul that fuel Nadia’s hustle,” she says. ” With appearances from her celebrity friends, childhood crew, and family, this season offers a richer, more layered look into the woman behind the name Bragga.”

“This season is so personal for me. It’s about growth—in my music, my relationships, and how I see myself,” says Nadia Nakai. “I wanted to show the grind, the heartache, and the hustle that comes with chasing something bigger than fame. I’m not just creating for now, I’m building something that lasts.”
