There are many reasons behind a receding hairline. In most cases, it is linked to aging and hereditary factors. But in some cases; the cause is from over-styling hair (especially with heat), choosing tight hairstyles like cornrows and braiding, using chemicals such as bleach and peroxide to colour hair, eating a diet that’s high in saturated fat, processed foods, preservatives and smoking cigarettes.
But as you age, it’s normal for your hairline to move slightly higher above your forehead. For men, this typically starts happening between the ages of 16 and 29. A bad hairline can be difficult to deal with. Here are some suggestions to help fix a bad hairline. These include simple solutions like changing your hairstyle, switching to new hair products, a change of lifestyle, or more drastic steps, such as a hair transplant.:
Change your diet
The food we eat plays a big role in the strength of your hair. Eating a diet that’s high in antioxidants can help your hair look and feel healthier. Food with antioxidants include blueberries, spinach, kidney beans, and walnut. But you can also eat foods rich in vitamin A, vitamin B-12, vitamin E, iron, and zinc.
Herbal remedies
Ginseng, Chinese hibiscus, gotu kala, gooseberry, and aloe vera have roots in traditional holistic medicine.
Hair transplant
A hair transplant is a medical procedure where a doctor removes hair from the back of your head to the front of your head to give your hairline a fuller appearance. Some essential oils may promote hair growth. They have all been found to be promising treatments for a receding hairline.
Lower your stress levels
Stress and anxiety have been linked to some kinds of hair loss. Bringing down stress levels can be easier said than done. Stress can be lowered through exercise, time out, spiritual retreats, and meditation.
