The Sunset Music Series continues to bring the magic of music and nature together at the iconic Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Roodepoort.
On Sunday, 12 October, audiences can look forward to an unforgettable afternoon with the soulful sounds of Zonke and the enchanting melodies of Simmy, two of South Africa’s most celebrated voices.
Framed by the soaring cliffs and the cascading Witpoortjie Waterfall, the Sunset Music Series transforms the lush botanical haven into a vibrant stage where music, community, and natural beauty converge.
Inspired by Cape Town’s famous Kirstenbosch Sunset Concerts, the Johannesburg edition invites families and friends to spread out blankets, share picnic baskets, and soak in the rhythms of world-class live performances beneath the African sky.
Known for her powerhouse vocals and timeless hits, Zonke will bring her soulful catalogue to life, while Simmy promises to enchant audiences with her Afro-soul soundscapes. Together, they will create an atmosphere of warmth, connection, and joy, setting the tone for a season of memorable outdoor concerts.
