South African broadcaster Bridget Masinga is expecting her first baby. The radio host announced her pregnancy and showed off her belly.
Masinga shared that she suffered a miscarriage before her current pregnancy. “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen,” she said. Her announcement included a photoshoot by Gareth Jacobs.
Masinga has in the past opened up about her struggles to conceive. In 2018, she shared on social media that she had lost not one, but three pregnancies, each one a silent heartbreak carried quietly while the world moved on. She spoke candidly about the emotional toll it took on her, her relationship, and her faith.“We lost our second pregnancy, lost my faith and my trust and found myself in a dark place fighting my way back to the light,” she wrote.
She shared that losing a child was tough. “I don’t know who she is, but the joy that radiates from her every vessel is undeniable. There’s something so pure about it, maybe it’s fueled by the anticipation of meeting this life that’s growing inside her, or perhaps it comes from being blessed with a precious gift,” she said. “What I do know is that having lost another, our third pregnancy, I often refer back to this picture in my dark moments and remind myself that for whatever reason God has made my biggest dream my most devastating test, and I can only keep praying that one day this test will be a testimony to the power of faith and prayer,” she wrote.
