Rachel Kolisi, the ex-wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, has revealed that she no longer drives a fancy luxury and drives a Toyota Yaris.

She previously drove a Mercedez-Benz GLA 200 worth an estimated R950 000. Rachel shared the humbling experience of driving luxury cars to having to downgrade. “At this point, I can either laugh or cry,” she said after posting the new vehicle. “Life has a way of humbling you, just when you thought you’ve got it all figured out. One day you are riding high, then the next – you are asking a friend to borrow their spare car and Googling how to parallel park a Yaris with dignity.” She consoled herself by saying the tough times will not last. “But it’s not forever.”

Rachel announced their divorce in October 2024. The couple, who were married for eight years, released a joint statement on Instagram announcing their separation, citing a mutual decision after much reflection and open conversations. They expressed their commitment to co-parenting their two children and remaining friends, while also continuing to work on their joint foundation.
