In December, the investigating officer received information that Sefekedi was back in South Africa and as seen in Thembisa, and this helped the investigation. Last week , Friday while patrolling in Thembisa, a police officer spotted Sefekedi in a vehicle, confirmed the details with the investigating officer, and subsequently arrested him. He was identified by Mabaso’s sister at the police station and charged with two counts of murder and arson. The matter was postponed to Friday, 19 April for a formal bail application.
