From owning and running what was once a thriving tshisa nyama and drinking spot in Gauteng to now becoming a pastor, Max Lichaba says whatever he sets his mind at doing succeeds.

Former businessman Max Lichaba has resigned as Managing Director to his popular tshisa nyama business Kwa Lichaba Lounge to take on his calling as a pastor. Max shared the news in a statement sent to Buzz Life News. “I decided to resign principally because of the decision to follow my calling of being a pastor,” he says.

His businesses will however continue to operate while he pursues his “calling” at at Nation Hope Ministries in the East Rand, Johannesburg. “I will not have shares in the business and I’m parting ways with the brand. I have left it to the family to run. It remains a family legacy regardless of my involvement as the business employs more than 30 family members. They are trained and capable of running it in my absence.”
Max tells Buzz Life News that he has known from the age of 12 years old and he wa sodained at 22 years old however he lost his ways and he knew one day he would need to pursue it. “I was focusing on my businesses and neglected the calling. But I never stopped believing in the lord and knowing that one day I would need to go back to my calling.”

Max says that life’s hardships pushed him to following his calling. “I have lost money, have had challenges within my businesses, my relationships and marriages suffered. I was painted a bad person in society. But this was all because I was ignoring my calling,” he says. “I had to make the decision to commit to the lord and move forward.”
The ex-husband of TV and radio personality Sophie Ndaba was once accused of using her money to build his empire and reported to be an abuser and an adulter or who had children outside of his first marriage with Thando Mavata and his union with Sophie Ndaba. “I have changed. I am now a man of God.”
